Principal's Message

Loflin Families,

I hope you have had a great summer. I am delighted to begin my second year as the principal of Donna Lee Loflin Elementary. I anticipate another exciting year as we collectively strive to foster a culture of learning. I am very fortunate to be a part of  the Asheboro City Schools family and to be working with such an outstanding group of professionals both at the district level and in our school.

Over the last nineteen years, I have served children and youth as a teacher, instructional coach, lead teacher, assistant principal now as a principal. I believe that students are motivated by positive reinforcement, a fostering of the joy of learning, and the need to feel successful both academically and socially.

As an administrator I have co-operated with teachers in helping students meet their potential by providing an environment that is safe, maximizing on our diversity, and encouraging collaboration. As a parent who had both of our children attend Loflin, I know that Loflin is a caring and nurturing place that cares for students on an individual basis.

I look forward to working with all of our Loflin families. We could not do the work of teaching without your help. You are your child’s number one teacher! Please feel free to contact us here at school if there is anything we can do to further assist you and your child.

Lions ROAR!

Warm Regards,

Jordi Roman
