Principal's Message

Loflin Families,

Welcome to our school! This is my eleventh year with Asheboro City Schools and my third year as the principal of Donna Lee Loflin Elementary. I love being at Loflin. I am very fortunate to be a part of  the Asheboro City Schools family and to be working with such an outstanding group of professionals that care deeply about helping our children reach their fullest potential.

Over the last twenty years, I have served children and youth as a teacher, instructional coach, lead teacher, assistant principal, and now as a principal.  We know that children love learning . . .we see it clearly during their early childhood. They have a natural desire to learn. Through positive reinforcement, a fostering of the joy of learning, and the need to feel successful both academically and socially, our teaching community helps our students become their very best version of themselves.

And most importantly for you as a parent, please know that our school’s number one role is to keep our students emotionally and physically safe.

Lastly, we could not do the work of teaching without your help. You are your child’s number one teacher! Please feel free to contact us here at the school if there is anything we can do to further assist you and your child.
